It’s deja vu all over again! Which BTW is appropriate since that’s what this song is really all about! Someone was telling me the other day how much they enjoyed the Errol Garner video of this song that I posted back in December here, particularly since he had never heard of Errol before.

I was going to post another by him — and I definitely will later — but when I was revisiting the video, I noticed that I completely forgot to mention that the song was originally from the Rogers & Hart 1937 musical comedy Babes in Arms. 

Looks like Ron Boyle’s team is still way out in front with 113 points. Teams with captains Jerry Keating, Zeb Riggs, and Roger Wright are battling it out for 2nd place.  Bill is still out of commission and has not updated his website with the latest scores the past couple of weeks.

I put them in a spreadsheet here.  Bill will post them on his website when he returns  NOTE: Next Wednesday is the last week of this session so let me know if you are not playing in the upcoming one.  Also, if anyone new is interested in playing the next session, I need to know by next Wednesday to put the draft together.

The Monday Al Brinson League draft is complete.  Bill is still out of commission and has not had a chance to post the info on his website so I put the info together in a few spreadsheets below.  These will be loaded on his site when he gets back in the saddle.

Results from Week #2 of the Snooker league that plays on Tuesdays at Sterling Heights are  now posted on their page here.

Looks like Mike Bass is off to an early lead with a bunch of guys tied for 2nd.  Still early days — there’s 7 more weeks of play.

Ginger sent in the standings from Week-2 of the new session of her Odell 8 and 9-ball league on Tuesdays at Hibiscus.  They are posted on her league’s page here which has info about the league and its new schedule.  I also posted the last session final standings there if you want to check them out.

Well…technically not Smooth Jazz but more in the genre of Jazz Fusion.  I can’t believe I haven’t posted any Pat Metheny up here yet since he is probably the artist whose concerts I’ve paid to see the most times.  Fair Warning: You’ll definitely be seeing more of his stuff later but as a starter let’s go with “Last Train Home”.  It’s another one of those songs that are on every one of my USB music sticks and playlists.

Ginger’s Billiards Open had their 10-Ball tournament this past Friday night (04/11) at Silver Lake. Bob Huebsch and John Stalbaum tied for 1st place.  Bob Cornell got 3rd, and there was a 4-way tie for 4th among Lionel Dube. Mark Kynett, Tom Maffatone and Barney Stuart.

Standings from Week #7 (04/06) of Larry Berg’s Sunday Mixed Scotch Doubles Leagues at Hibiscus and Canal are now posted on his league’s page here… Looks like Bill and Marge Melvin are now tied with Joe and Cindy Marz in 1st place at Hibiscus.  There’s a 3-way tie for 1st place at Canal — Jeff and Kelle, Larry and Pat, Don and Joan — all have 26 wins.

(From 1/1/2019) It’s Friday With Frank time again so let’s go back into the archives. Here Frank gives a great live performance in this 1943 Lucky Strike cigarette promotional of Hoagy Carmichael’s “Stardust”.

Larry’s team continues to dominate.  He led his team to a 64-36 victory over Bill’s team by throwing down a score of 17, tying his highest score ever.  On the other side of the room Greg and Fred’s teams battled it out to a 50-50 tie.
