(From 7/31/2019) After breakfast we depart our camp in Kruger, make the hour long drive back to NelsPruit, then take an hour long flight to Livingstone, Zambia. We then drive about 2 hours up to Victoria Falls and clear customs to drive into Zimbabwe.
From there we drive about 30 minutes to our lodge in Hwange National Park, the largest park in Zimbabwe, and arrive just in time for dinner. Not sure if we’ll see these elephants cruising thru the lobby – I think it’s only during their November daily migrations.
But this sure sounds like a long day of travel so let’s listen to another version of The Tokens singing “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” after we check out the Zambia lodge. This time it’s a few years later but it’s amazing how they sound very much the same.
