(From 5/25/2019) Another one of the dozens of songs that are in my Top-10 list today. This video was recorded on June 21, 1969 at The Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and features Les McCann on piano and vocals along with Eddie “Lockjaw” Harris on sax.
It continues to amaze me how some songs manage to stay relevant for so many years. I also recall this song’s lyric of “make it real – Compared to What” being used in a Coke commercial back in the 70’s or 80’s but I couldn’t find it out there.
