It’s deja vu all over again! Which BTW is appropriate since that’s what this song is really all about! Someone was telling me the other day how much they enjoyed the Errol Garner video of this song that I posted back in December here, particularly since he had never heard of Errol before.
I was going to post another by him — and I definitely will later — but when I was revisiting the video, I noticed that I completely forgot to mention that the song was originally from the Rogers & Hart 1937 musical comedy Babes in Arms. I kinda went off on Errol’s artistry and then got sidetracked. So here’s a really pretty rendition of the song as performed by Brian d’Arcy James and Susan Egan. I’d listen to her sing the telephone book — such a clean, pure voice. Sit back and enjoy something a bit different…
