(From 12/24/2019) I’m certainly not a fan of the typical shopping mall holiday songs but it wouldn’t be Christmas eve if I didn’t watch Darlene Love sing “Christmas Baby Please Come Home” on the Letterman Show. I was blown away by her first performance of it below in 1986. Thereafter, I made it a point to either watch or record it every year since.
The 25th anniversary show at the bottom it is my favorite version. The final time she performed it was in 2014 and it will appear here soon – along with something a little more sublime.
