Well, it’s Christmas and no HICKEY League this week, of course. Because of that though, it brought back some fond memories of Don Hickey and how nice a guy he was. So no music video in this post – just some thoughts and a flashback to 2002 in the Paradise Rec Center — pre-Silver Lake days.
I often say that when all of us first retired and came down here to The Villages, I think we all had visions of doing various things – golf, billiards, travel, whatever…
But for me anyway, meeting as many nice people and making as many new friends as I have in the last 15 years or so never really entered my mind at the time. So I’d like to thank everyone for that opportunity and wish you all a great holiday.
Enjoy this video of the Men’s Advanced League (now Hickey League) from 2002. I sent it around to the Hickey League guys a few weeks ago but since so many of us spend a lot of time at Silver Lake, I thought others might enjoy it also. You might even see some old guys you know or knew!!
