As most of you know, I lost a close friend this past week. This music video was originally posted on my old site back in 2018 and I’m bringing the song back for you, Billy. See you on the other side, good buddy.
It’s a beautiful rendition of a classic done by Eva Cassidy, who sadly died much too young back in the 90’s. Here she is singing at one of my favorite jazz clubs, Blues Alley, just outside of DC in Georgetown. Fond memories of when I first went there in the early 80’s while working for a sound company. I returned there numerous times as an audience member. One of those times – in the 90’s – was to see Eva so this recording is doubly meaningful. Enjoy!
