Eva Cassidy at Blues Alley

May 24, 2025

This was originally posted on my old site back in 2018. Today it is for John Stackpole.

It’s a beautiful rendition of a classic done by Eva Cassidy, who sadly died much too young back in the 90’s.  Here she is singing at another of my favorite jazz clubs, Blues Alley, just outside of DC in Georgetown.  Fond memories of when I first went there in the early 80’s while working for a sound company and a Philly band we contracted with, Pieces of a Dream.  I returned there numerous times as an audience member.  One of those times – in the 90’s – was to see Eva so this recording is particularly meaningful.  Enjoy!

Don’t forget…you can click in the lower right of a YouTube video to make it full screen. Also, you can use the Posts menu item to filter News items to a specific category – e.g. Music Videos – to just show those. Enjoy!
