Well — I missed “Two for Tuesday” yesterday so I’m gonna post a “Wacky Wednesday” music video-:)
If you were a Tonight Show with Johnny Carson fan, you might remember seeing this guy step out front to perform this song every now and again.
Clark Terry was a member of that band under both Skitch Henderson and Doc Severinson. As such he was the first African American to become a regular in a band on a major US television network. In the bottom one he’s with Woody Hermann in 1985. I think you’ll get a kick out of both of these…
