The Chi-Lites greatest fame came in the late 60’s thru early 70’s when they had over 20 songs on the Billboard Top 100. They started as the Hi-Lites but after they found out the name was already in use changed it to honor their home town of Chicago.
Backup singer, Marshall Thompson, is the only surviving member. Lead singer, Eugene Record, passed in 2005. There other big hit was “Oh Girl” so you might be seeing it shortly!
