Many of you have been getting my updates on Billy’s health when we see one another but since so many were involved in this effort I thought I’d post the latest here – along with a few pics and videos. Barry & Chris Curtis, Sherry Alexander, and I dropped off a new electric wheelchair for Billy, who is now in an assisted living facility — Lady Lake Senior Living Center on Rt. 466.
His room is all the way down the end of a long, carpeted hallway and Judy was struggling to push him down to meals every day. In addition, it was too much for her to push him outside so he could sit and enjoy some fresh air. He really needed an electric wheelchair.
This was definitely a group effort in which contributions were made by Barry, Chris, Sherry, myself, the Hickey League guys, players in the Friday Night tournament that Ginger runs, and the guys who play in the Saturday Dollar 9-Ball at Allamanda. Thanks to all…you REALLY did good this time.
Below are some pics and videos of us dropping the chair off to him and Judy this afternoon. I included the 2002 video from Hickey League when they played in the basement of Paradise Rec Center. You’ll find a younger Billy in there.
