(From 3/24/2109) Just a few minutes ago, I was talking to a friend about this song so I thought I’d root around for its video. Growing up in the range of Philly airwaves, if you wanted to listen to jazz, you tuned to The Point on 90.1 FM in the evenings. Its sign-on and sign-off music was Gato Barbieri’s rendition of Carlos Santana’s Europa.
While looking for a video of Gato playing it, I happened upon this pretty rare recording of them both playing it together back in 1977!
