I enjoy playing this one in the car with someone who has never heard it before and seeing how long it takes them to realize who is singing. Close your eyes…even if you are or are not a huge Springsteen fan, you’ll see what I mean.
This is from the Letterman Show with the whole E Street Band in 1995. A moving sax solo at the end by Clarence and a haunting melody with 3 notes repeating throughout makes it another of my faves. Hope you enjoy it too.
