On Wednesday December 10th Don Simpson held another 369 Double Elimination Tournament.
369 is a game of 9 Ball played a little different. Each of the 3, the 6 and the 9 are “scoring balls”. You play a regular game of 9 Ball but you get a point for the 3,6 and 9. The 9 can be made more than once (out of rotation) but typically each rack is worth 3 points and an extra 9 would make the rack worth 4 points.
Once a month Don holds this event with 24 players entered. Each player, based on their skill level, is assigned a handicap and in the December event they ranged from 9 to 12. The first player to reach their number of balls handicap is the winner.
Len Fitzpatrick runs the event for Don and Don pretends he’s the boss for the day! Len did a great job once again.
12 players were in the money with:
- Tied 9th place finishers being: Jeff McCarthy, John Greer, Paul Gatto and Paul Gagnon
- Tied 7th place were: Jeff Trinkle and Steve Luskey
- Tied 5th place were: Greg Shearer and Michael Kellough
- 4th Place went to Tommy Maffatone
- 3rd Place went to Mike Fagan
- 2nd Place went to Bob Huebsch
- And 1st Place to Brian Bedford
