1-Hit Wonders – Strawberry Alarm Clock

This one might bring back some more memories from the 60’s for you — and also probably stun you with a band member’s connection to another group.

Strawberry Alarm Clock were known for their 1967 hit “Incense and Peppermint” but did you know that they opened for Lynyrd Skynyrd when touring the South?  Not only that, after the band broke up lead singer Ed King went on to join Skynyrd in ’72 and wrote “Sweet Home Alabama“!
